#SundayStills - Colourful Murals

This week’s Sunday Stills challenge theme is ‘Colourful Murals.’ This week Natalie is hosting the challenge whilst Terri from Second Wind Leisure Perspectives takes a break. To see the entries, click here.

My first three were taken a few years ago in Madeira.  You can see more of these murals and painted doors in my post Thursday Doors, Madeira in response to Dan's Thursday Doors Challenge

The next two were taken in Granada, Spain. These fit the description of graffiti than murals but I like them.

  1. A very nice collection of colourful murals, Paul. In your first photo, the details of the horse with wings and the stars at the top of the wall are beautiful. Thank you for sharing these with #SundayStills.

  2. These are great examples of murals and it's interesting that you also mentioned the word graffiti as I asked the question in my post, is there a fine line between murals and graffiti?

  3. Thanks Debbie. You're right, there is a fine line and it is questionable whether some graffiti can be described as art. The Madeira photos were taken in a part of Funchal which the Government was trying to regenerate. Artists were encouraged to create interest by painting doors and walls. Most of my photos are of doors so I didn't include them.
